-We have thousands of religious, scenic, and artistic designs to choose from. We can personalize your loved one's memorial with any design you may have in mind. Engraving can also be done in many different languages.
-Monuments are offered in a variety of colors including gray, black, brown, red, green, blue and many more that are being imported.
-A computer generated printout will be mailed to you. This will help you visualize what your design will look like before the monument is engraved. The printout will also give you a second opportunity to double check the spelling of the names and dates. We require your approval and complete satisfaction of the printout before any engraving is started on the memorial.
-We can work closely with your church, temple, cemetery and funeral home to help lift some of your burdens.
-Granite headstones and markers may be purchased pre-need. Then, the sandblasting of the final date may be added later at the cemetery.
-We can also supply flower vases, foot stones, and cornerstones in matching granite.
Designing Your Memorial
We understand how difficult it can be designing a memorial. Each of us has lost a parent at a young age. We are prepared to assist you in designing a special monument in loving memory of someone close to your heart. Listed below are the steps we suggest you to take before purchasing a monument.
Step I
Know the cemeteries guidelines. All cemeteries have different rules and regulations regarding which type of monuments can be placed in them. Before you buy a cemetery lot, ask what kind of monuments and markers are allowed. Some cemeteries, often called memorial gardens, only allow flat markers. Many cemeteries charge a variety of fees for installation of the monument, perpetual care, maintenance, and other add-on services. Some cemeteries will tell a customer that they are the only ones who can install a monument, that installation costs are part of the lot price, or that since your family member is buried in their cemetery that you have to purchase your monument from them. This is ILLEGAL. Ask questions before you buy a cemetery plot and be sure you receive satisfactory answers. http://www.funeralethics.org/summer05.pdf (See pages 3 - 5 for information)
Please ask your cemetery the following questions & then get their regulations in writing:
1) Size: Is there a minimum and/or maximum restriction on the dimensions of the stone?
2) Type: What types of memorial headstones are allowed – Upright monuments, flat plaques, beveled markers, infant memorials, double interment or companions stones?
3) Vases: Are vases permitted once inside the cemetery?
4) Stone Color: Are there any granite and/or bronze color restrictions?
5) Delivery & Installation: What are the procedures for delivery and installation of the memorial headstone? Is a fee levied for installation?
Remember your rights. If the cemetery pressures you into buying a headstone from their expensive stock, you can take action with your local government consumer agency.
Step II
Choose the size and color of memorial: Each style of monument comes in different sizes and color. For a greater understanding of the shapes, sizes, colors, and designs of memorials, you may want to look at the various photos and designs that we have available on this website or come see our display at 313 Main Street in Cadiz, KY or at 1034 West Main Street in Princeton, KY.
Step III
Decide upon the wording: Some individuals prefer to keep the wording very simple, while others prefer to add verses, poems, comments, or other personalized information. We can offer suggestions that help you decide what's best for you.
Step IV
Select a design: You can choose from many different designs we already have, or we will work with you to create your own personal and unique design. We offer an unlimited amount of design options for your memorial. These options are only limited by your imagination.
Step V
Add accessories: Would you be interested in flower vases or a foot stone? Do you need to purchase cornerstones to mark your plots in the cemetery? We offer all of these and much more like ceramic photos and granite tile photo inserts.
